Tuesday 20th October saw the PE, Dance and Drama departments’ COVID Bake-off. It was agreed that the quality of the baking across the PE/Dance and Drama department is outstanding!

We have also had another successful hockey weekend. The U12A team traveled to Lytham for a fun filled day of hockey at the Jean Torrance tournament. They Played fantastic and came out as over all winner of the Plate competition. One very proud PE teacher.
The U16 Hockey Team played in the Greater Manchester County Tournament. They Played fantastic and came out as over all winner with a clean sheet winning all three games!

AGGS Sports day took place on Thursday 18th July, and was a great success! Activities included Shot putt, Javelin, discus, Long jump, high jump, some other fun activities alongside entertainment by Mrs. Hulme in many costumes! The staff vs. students relay was one of the highlights of the day, where staff relay team came very close, Mr. Flanagan gave Josie H, our fastest student who broke the 100m record today, a real run for her money on first leg – well done to all who took part.
The Year 9 competed in the Trafford Rounders Tournament. The team won their section and went on with their winning strike to win the whole Tournament. They all played fantastic rounders!

Congratulations to our Year 9 Netball team, who were crowned Trafford champions last night beating Loreto in the final.
Congratulation to the KS4 first badminton team, who have gone through to the National Badminton Finals after winning North West Regional Round on Thursday 7th March.
