South African Experience

What a fantastic afternoon of sport we have had with our hockey and netball teams. Pearls High School in South Africa are currently touring the UK and our students have had the privilege of playing against them.

Our students were bowled over by their outstanding abilities and professionalism…some of their students even brought resistance bands and weights to warm up with.

The matches were a fantastic display of skill and resilience in what we consider quite “hot” conditions, and one of the hockey squads managed to come away with a win.

They even treated us to a song.

This was a fantastic experience for everyone involved and something they will definitely remember.

Olivia’s Rowing Success

Olivia S from Y11 had competed in the Junior National Rowing competition in Nottingham last Friday. She raced as part of a coxed quad in the women’s junior aged 15 category, in which they won a bronze medal, just behind Henley and beating Marlow. It was a photo finish as they were in 5th position with 250 metres to the finish line to pull back to 3rd, which demonstrated the teams amazing determination.

Well done to Olivia and her team for this fantastic achievement!
