Superstar Cooking Competition
This year, our school was invited to enter the Active Kids Superstar Cooks competition. Mrs Clutton organised the event where pupils from Years 7 to 9 cooked up a variety of dishes.
Dania in 9-6 made sweet and sour curry noodles – or as she called it; “vegan curry without the curry”.
Ellie and Lauren in 7-7 decided to be festive and create an apple risotto in a pumpkin, otherwise known as “Halloween Risotto”.
Aaishah in 8-4 experimented with Zai’atr salmon with quinoa tabouleh. She claims to be “obsessed with food”.
Mariam, 8-5 cooked rice, spinach, potatoes, kebabs with yogurt and vegetables.
All the dishes looked amazing and have now been entered into the Active Kids Superstar Cooks competition.
The prizes include £10,000 worth of new kitchen kit for the along with an exclusive dance lesson with Ashley Banjo (lead dancer in Diversity!)
