The School of Journalism is having a practical open evening for their BA (Hons) Journalism degree in Manchester on Thursday, June 15 from 7pm-9pm
The opening evening will be hosted by our award-winning editors and training team, giving students a glimpse into the industry and the sort of training they’d receive at The School of Journalism.
Both parents and students are invited to the two-hour session including a talk from our managing editor and a Q&A with our heads of journalism and training team.
Students will also get the chance to participate in a range of practical broadcast and news writing exercises to see if journalism, and our hands-on training, is for them – followed by feedback and careers advice.
If students would like to attend or have any questions, they can call 0208 545 1662.
Ex-Student, Alice Bennett, will be returning to school on Friday 23rd September to talk about Earth Sciences and how her course is going so far at Imperial College, London.
