SAILING SUCCESS

Congratulations to Eloise and her sailing partner (from another school), who have, as one of 9 boats, been selected for the RYA UK Junior Squad – Feva. This is the National U14 squad, which is an Olympic pathway squad. It is the highest level that sailor’s of Eloise’s age can reach and is a fantastic achievement. This is going to be an amazing opportunity for the two girls to develop their skills and to sail as part of the UK Junior Squad at the next RS Feva World Championships in July 2017 in Holland. Eloise has just finished her first coaching session as a member of the UK Junior Squad in Weymouth, this weekend. We would all like to wish her luck and look forward to hearing how she gets on. Good luck Eloise.

SAILING SUCCESS

Congratulations to Eloise (year 9) for her success in her sailing. During the summer Eloise and her sailing partner took part in the RS Feva world championships in Santander, Spain. 165 boats competed with sailors of all ages. There were 3 fleets of 55 boats (gold, silver and bronze). Eloise qualified for the silver fleet and they came 3rd. This overall result means that Eloise and her partner (aged 13 and under) are the 5th junior RS Feva sailors in the world. For her success Eloise won a bronze mental and a trophy.

Well done Eloise, we are very proud of you.

SAILING SUCCESS

Congratulations to Eloise (year 8) on her success in sailing. In April she entered her first National event (with her sailing partner) at Rutland Water in Oakham, Leicestershire. They competed in 5 races over 2 days, against 52 other boats, with sailors up to 16 years old (Eloise is 12 and her partner 13), from all over the UK. Despite them being one of the youngest teams and less experienced at National events they finished 1st all-girl boat  and 14th overall.

Well done Eloise. An Olympic sailor in the making?  We hope so.  Good luck in future events.
