Francesca in Year 13 has had the amazing opportunity to represent England at the ISF World Schools Cross Country Championships in Paris on April 4th 2018. She was one of ten athletes selected to travel to France to compete in the team and individual event.
The race took place on a fast and rather flat route under the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. Francesca was England’s individual star of the English Schools’ AA team and won a bronze medal behind Ella Heeney of Australia in the U18 Girls’ race! What a magnificent achievement.
This follows her selection to race in Belgium in February where she won a silver medal. Francesca is athlete with immense talent and that coupled with her sheer hard work and determination has resulted in the ultimate accolade of representing her country gaining national honours. We are extremely proud of you Francesca and look forward to seeing you on the world cross country stage in the future!
