Grace a World Champion

Year 7 Student, Grace S, Year has been selected to represent England at the Dance World Cup 2017 in Germany, and won 3 Gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals contributing to England winning the overall competition, which makes her also a World Champion.

The Dance World Cup is the  culmination of over 12,000 competitors from 47 countries competing at qualifiers with approximately 2,500 making the World Finals each year.

This year Grace has qualified to compete in 10 dances in the following categories;

  • Classical Ballet
  • Fusion Ballet
  • Contemporary Modern
  • Jazz
  • Song and Dance
  • Hip Hop

Grace commits to over 12 hours of dancing per week between her local dance school, Royal Ballet School Mid Associates and AGGS dance club, recently performing her contemporary modern solo at the AGGS dance show.  She competed at the Wrexham Dance Festival over the half term break and was awarded 4 trophies, 2 shields and 6 medals gaining an award in every section she competed in.
