U16 National Schools’ Hockey : lost out on penalty flicks again!!!!!

The U16 squad were playing in the North Semi-Final on Tuesday at Timperley.

The started off the tournament in style winning all their first round matches : v King William School from the Isle of Man 2-0 : v Westborne School, South Yourkshire 5-0 : v Queens’ School, Chester 2-0.

The semi-final was then played against Queen Elizabeth School from Cumbria. After a very exciting match the score was 1-1 after full time. The outcome of the match was to be decided on penalty flicks. Unfortunately it was not to be our day and we lost 4-2.

Everyone was very disappointed but the girls played some excellent hockey and very member of the 17 girl squad played their part in this very strong tournament.

The girls were a credit to themselves and to the school. We will get them next time!!!!!!

Thank you to all the parents who came to support. It was very much appreciated.
