U14 National Schools’ Hockey

The U14 team had a disappointing end to the North West semi- final stage of this competition. They had started off in great style winning both their matches 4-0 and 2-1. They then played Kirkham Grammer School in the semi-final. We were all over them but could not get the ball in the back of the net. We had loads of chances to score but it wasn’t to be. It was 0-0 at the end of the game but we lost out on penalty flicks 3-1.

To cap it all Queen’s School, Chester qualified for the North final who we beat in the group stages. We also beat Cheadle Hulme School 5-1 in our school match this morning – they also qualified for the North Final.

Never mind girls we will do it next time. It wasn’t meant to be this year.

Thank you to all the parents for supporting us and to John Bell from Bowdon Hockey Club for giving up his time to coach the team.
