SOUTH AFRICA HOCKEY TOUR

All parents should be receiving some information and a disclaimer that needs to be signed regarding going whale watching and looking for sharks. It says on the information that we will be going in a cage to look for sharks. We are not going to be doing this. We will be looking for sharks from the safety of our boat!!!

Also…….I have put some other information in your daughter’s register. I am trying all ways to try to get information to you. I know that not everyone gets the emails Miss Cutts-Watson sends out.

Team tennis

Congratulations to the year 8 ‘B’ team in their match against Cheadle Hulme High School in the Team Tennis competition. After the first round of 4 singles matches we were drawing 2-2. We had to win both doubles to win the match and that is what they did. Annabelle Allan and Anna Gerhrad won their match quite easily. Annie Hayton and Rosie Robinson had a tougher match as they had both lost their singles matches quite easily 6-1 and 6-2. However, they pulled off a great doubles win, winning their match 7-5 which was a terrific result.

Well done to all four girls. We won he match by 4 matches to 2.

Team Tennis Competition

Congratulations to our year 10 and year 8 tennis teams.

In their second match in the competition the year 10 ‘A’ team won 6-0 against The Grange School Hartford. This was a hard fought match even though the score line makes it seem easy. Far from it!!!!  The year 8 team also won 6-0.

The year 10 ‘B’ team played their first match of the competition, also against The Grange and won 4-2.

Well done to everyone who played.
