Y12 ‘Careers Fortnight’

ASPIREBetween 2nd-13th November, we held our first Year 12 ‘Careers Fortnight’. The aim of this fortnight was to provide Year 12 students with resources and information to help them to make a better informed choice about what they might wish to do post 18, whether it be university, an apprenticeship scheme, a Gap year or employment. Activities included a trip to Liverpool University, a workshop on the hidden job market and a visit from the Key 103 apprenticeship bus. We were delighted to welcome a number of visitors into school, who kindly volunteered their time, either conducting careers interviews with students or delivering a talk about their career and experience. Thank you to all of those who were involved in making this such a success. If you would like to get involved in or find out more about careers education, information advice and guidance at AGGS, please contact Kate Gillibrand at: gillibrand@aggs.trafford.sch.uk
