Students giving up their time to help charity

Year 10 girls sorting out items for Charity Crossroads DerbyshireYear 10 students kindly gave up a lunchtime to help victims of domestic abuse. Miss Devlin asked staff and students to do a Spring clean and bring in any good quality clothes that could be donated to Crossroads, a refuge in the North West. Established in 1979, Crossroads Derbyshire (previously Glossop Women’s Aid) has been supporting women and children suffering from domestic violence for more than 35 years.  They have recently started to support men in an Outreach capacity. Many survivors of abuse have to flee, often with children, with simply the clothes on their back and arrive with nothing. The refuge provides clothes to help get them started in their new life.

Thanks to Year 10 for their help and staff and students for their generosity in donations!
