On Saturday 12th March 2016, Shraddha, Year 8 will be performing on stage with the National Youth Orchestra SAMYO (www.milapfest.com/samyo) at their annual showcase concert at Beck theatre, featuring a modern, classical repertoire of Indian orchestral music. Exotic melodies, rich rhythms, and a new chorus of voices take centre stage in concert that celebrates our musical inspirations in everyday life. SAMYO is the only orchestra of its kind in the world and one of the 8 National Orchestra in the U.K. The concert features an array of Indian instruments, and the signature SAMYO style that draws from Indian devotional, folk, classical and popular music including western classical/jazz.
Shraddhas is one of the selected few from the North, as most of the performers are from London and home counties, and the only member from Manchester. She is also one of youngest to be selected for this prestigious performance.
