eu ref 2

So you may have heard that on 23rd June the country will be voting whether we should stay in or leave the EU. Are you confused? Do you know what the arguments are? Well Politics society are here to help. Maybe you are in sixth form and this is your first chance to vote, well we are here to help.

AGGS Politics society are running a school wide AGGS Mock EU referendum on Wednesday 27th April. Just like our Mock Election ballot papers will be placed strategically around school on the day for everyone to vote. We will be holding assemblies the week before the big vote and a debate will take place in the hall on Tues 26th April for people to hear the arguments and question those in the Politics society about the different arguments.

The EU whether we are in or out will affect your future, it’s important you consider the arguments.

Keep an eye on the blog and on twitter for more updates and info.eu ref

International Women’s Day 2016

international womens day 2

8th March is International Women’s Day. A day to celebrate the work  of women and the contribution women make to society as a whole. There are so many women throughout history and in today’s modern world who stand up for our gender and raise awareness of inequalities. There are many women who also work quietly behind the scenes raising up the next generation of women. Today is a day to celebrate all of these women, young and old.

Here are some photographs of some of the women featured on my display, pop along to room 13 to find out more about them…

I have put together a display in Rm 13 of women I have researched and find inspiring. Why not bring in a photograph and a short explanation and add your inspiring woman to my display.

Let’s celebrate women all over the world today.
