From 31st January until the 4th February, four year 12 students represented the school, for the second time, at a Model United Nations conference in Augsburg, Germany. After the great time and high quality of debate last year they were very excited to return.
As part of the three day conference they had to debate from the point of view of China on topics ranging from freedom of the press to the situation in North Korea. During this debate they made connections with other students from both Germany and further afield, including Russia and Cyprus. Our students were very vocal, and three of them won ‘best delegate’ in their committee.
They had some free time after the conference to spend with their host families and used this to explore Munich, Augsburg and the neighbouring Friedberg.
They would like to thank all the people who kindly hosted them and organised the conference, as well as Ms Mitchell for taking them.
