Sheffield University Taster Day

Free, one-day conference for Year 12 students on Wednesday 28 June 2017. 

I would like to invite your students to our University Options Day in Science, Maths and Engineering at the University of Sheffield on 28th June.

Students are invited to apply individually to the conference and can book their place online at: www.stemexplore.co.uk/events. They can attend individually or with their parents/guardians.

 

Radiotherapy Taster Days

Year 12 students are invited to Liverpool University to learn about careers in Radiotherapy. Students will have the opportunity to use the 3D virtual reality training room and CT scanner on 16 November and 1 February from 1pm-4pm. More information is available on the website and from Pete Bridge.

Institute of Microbiology and Infection Summer School

Institute of Microbiology and Infection Summer School
The Institute of Microbiology and Infection are offering Year 12 Biology students the chance to find out what it is like to work as a scientist in a laboratory. Running for five days from 25-29 July 2016, students will be given the chance to explore microbiology in a range of sessions including ‘Meet the Microbes’, ‘Microbes and the Environment’, ‘Microbes and Man’ and ‘How to become a Scientist’.

History Taster Day – Nottingham University

Nottingham University welcomes any Y12 student who is interested in or thinking about studying History at university. Students will receive 2 x academic taster sessions, an admissions talk and Q&A, a tour of the university and library/archives session, and an opportunity to meet current staff and students. Attendance is free of charge but students will need to make their own way to campus.
