Another set of fantastic GCSE results for AGGS

Students at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls rose to the challenge of the new GSCEs, achieving a collection of outstanding results.

In a year of revised GCSE content in English language, literature and mathematics, the students produced a set of extraordinary results as once again 100% of students gained at least 5 subjects at A*-C, including grades of 5 or above in English and mathematics. 86% of all results were graded at A*-A or 7 and above.

Of examinations using the traditional grading system 52% were graded at A*. In the new English and maths GCSEs, 29% of students achieved the highest grade of 9. An incredible 29 students achieved A* or above (8 or above on the new GSCE grading scale) in all their subjects. There were also 96 students who passed all 9 subjects at 7+, A or A* grade, which is a remarkable 55% of the cohort.

Another incredible set of results for AGGS, part of the Bright Futures Educational Trust

A-Levels Results 2017

Students and staff at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls are celebrating once again after another magnificent set of results ensured that 114 students have already met their offer of a place at university.
In another wonderful collection of results the school saw 11 students accepted by Oxford and Cambridge and an impressive 78 of the cohort achieving A* or A in all their subjects. 15 students achieved A* grades across all subjects.

An excellent set of results saw 70.1% of grades at A*-A, 92.7% of examinations graded at A*-B and 99.2% graded at A*-C. 100% of examination entries were graded at A*-E.

GCSE 2016 – Students at AGGS are celebrating another remarkable set of GCSE results.

Once again 100% of students gained at least 5 subjects at A*-C, including English and Mathematics. A superb 96% of examinations taken were graded from A*-B, 80% were graded A*-A and an impressive 43% were graded A*.

A level 2016 – AGGS students continue to achieve outstanding results


Students and staff at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls are celebrating once again after another magnificent set of results ensured that many students achieved places at their first choice of university.The school has plenty to celebrate, with 20 girls accepted by Oxford and Cambridge and an impressive 58 girls achieving A* or A in all their subjects. 11 students achieved A* grades across the board.

An outstanding set of results saw 90.4% of examinations graded at A*-B and 99% graded at A*-C. 100% of examination entries were graded at A*-E.

AGGS girls celebrating another outstanding set of GCSE results

GCSE 2015Students at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls are celebrating another incredible set of GCSE results.

100% of students gained at least 5 subjects at A*-C, including English and Mathematics. A wonderful 98% of examinations taken were graded from A*-B, GCSE 201584% were graded A*-A and a staggering 50% were graded A*.

There were also 18 girls who passed all 9 subjects at A* and 90 girls who passed all 9 subjects at A or A* grade.

A Level 2015 – exceptional results once again

A-Level 2015 ResultsYear 13 students at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls have achieved another outstanding set of A level results. A remarkable 91% of examinations were graded at A*-B and an even more impressive 68% of results graded at A*-A. The A*-E pass rate was 100%.

An impressive 78 girls (just under half of the cohort) achieved A* or A in all subjects and 13 students achieved A* grades in all of their subjects.

Students have also had stunning success with university entry, with 14 girls accepted by Oxford and Cambridge.
