Recently we have been focusing on cyber bullying. We have looked at the risks of a certain site in particular, called askfm which we have asked to be blocked at school. If you have any worries about cyber bullying please approach us we don’t bite:)!
Also we have arranged a TV room which will be open to all on Mondays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 13:15 starting from Thursday 28th February (the first Thursday back) Come along and bring your lunch! Members of the Anti bullying team will be there so pop in for a chat and we can help you with any problems you are having. But don’t worry…you can still come even if you do not need to talk to us:) Keep checking our blog for news on which room the TV room will be as it is still being arranged or check out our posters around school!
Showing on Thurs 28th February:
Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone
We hope to see you all there

We hope you’ve had an exciting anti bullying week, ours was great! We had lots of good feedback for our anti bullying video, did you like it? Alex Holmes, one of the co founders of the Anti Bullying Ambassadors project, tweeted about it, and so far its had a total of 412 hits on Youtube!
Here’ s what some people had to say about the video,
” We really enjoyed the video, it was very informative and made us feel empowered to make a difference” Rajiya and Hina. Year 7 students.
“This is a great video. It shows the clear stance AGGS takes against any form of bullying”
Did you like the video? Let us know what you think! Also, please share this video with all your contacts – we need everyone to stand up to bullying!
We’re doing so much at the moment! Hopefully we will get the pupil friendly version of the schools anti bullying policy up on the BOBBY board ( outside lost property) soon, so that you can read about what AGGS does to combat bullying.
We’re also thinking of starting our first ever drop in session about bullying, for pupils from pupils and we’ve decided to make a banner for the balcony out of the hand prints you did, so keep handing them into miss bond!
Do you have any more ideas? Please leave your ideas in the comment section below!
Bye for now and enjoy the holidays!

We’re a bunch of anti- bullying ambassadors who want to make a difference to our local community and we believe that the only way to do this is to raise awareness of the issue amoungst the youth of today using dynamic methods and advice.
On this blog we will also be showing you our progress as anti bullying ambassadors through everything notable that we have done, documenting our journey and how WE have grown as individuals through this process.
And remember, you can always contact us with any queries, issues via firstname.lastname@example.org and as always, we will deal with your queries effectively and with confidentiality.
