Great Biology Bake Off

Bring in a cake that represents a cell, organ, a process or even a whole organism! Prizes for the best entries.

Cakes will then be sliced and sold to the teachers in the staffroom on Tuesday and all money raised will be donated to the Macmillan coffee morning charity.

Questions set by members of Science Society; this fiendish and fun quiz is open to teams of 4 or 5 from any year group.

Fun with Flies!

Did you know you can paralyse fruit flies by shaking them and that this can be used to understand more about epilepsy? Do you want to race old and young fruit flies up a climbing tower and see who wins? We are really lucky to have the Fly Lab from Manchester Uni come to visit us. Make sure you are there!

Ever wondered what a zoologist really does? Dr Monika Bohm, zoologist at London Zoo and expert in badgers and endangered species explains where studying zoology might lead you with an interactive session with where you get to ask questions to a London Zoo zoologist.
