Once again, the festive season come around and we are getting into full swing celebrating. Earlier this month, we had our annual Christmas Concert (see earlier post) and also our unique Christmas Markets.
This year we saw many creative and traditional stalls, selling items such as cakes and biscuits to jewelry and other handmade gifts. Teams and individuals set up stalls in the main hall to sell their creations.
Organised by Mrs Gerrard, the Christmas Markets offer an opportunity for girls to show off their entrepreneur skills and their creative skills. It benefits students by helping them develop teamwork skills and social skills and well as informing them more about business in a secure environment.
The Christmas Markets aren’t all about business though! 50% of the profit goes to students however 25% goes to charity and the other 25% goes back into the Enterprise Fund to help other aspiring entrepreneurs.
We are now coming to the end of the term and Christmas is approaching. More things to look forward to in the coming week:
- Carol service on Thursday 16th Dec
- Year 8,9,10 & 11 leave for the church at 10.30
- Year 7,12 & 13 leave for the church at 1.30
- Charity Day
- Each form will set up their own stall
- Talent Show
- Year 13 Pantomime
We hope to see many more interesting stalls at next year’s AGGS Christmas Markets!
